There will be a “Meet the Teacher” night at Fuquay-Varina Elementary School on Monday, August 24, 2009 from 4:30 to 6:30. In addition to the opportunity for families to meet their teachers, parents will be able to register their children for Before and After School Care Programs, sign up for carpool, prepay for lunches, and join PTA. Bus routes are available on line at wcpss.net (click on departments, transportation, and then bus routes and stops).

Information regarding Before and After School Programs: Registration fees will be $10.00 per child for the Before School Program and $15.00 per child for the After School Program. Registration fees should be made payable to Fuquay-Varina Elementary School in the form of check or money order. The first full monthly payment will be due August 25. Other payments are typically due on the first school day of each month (a payment schedule will be provided). Separate checks are needed for the Before School Program and the After School Program. Separate checks will also be needed for registration fees and monthly payments, and siblings will need separate application forms. Parents are asked to bring medical insurance information to the meeting; medical insurance is required for children who attend these programs. Monthly fees for the Before School Program (6:45 – 8:45 a.m.) will be $70.00. Monthly fees for the After School Program (3:45 – 6:00 p.m.) will be $123.75.
