Michael A. Hummel, 37, of Fuquay, was charged with driving while impaired on August 10.

Anthony Millard Batts, 44, of Benson, was charged with a probation violation on August 12.

Kelly Elizabeth Rose, 36, of Holly Springs, was charged with vandalism on August 14.

Police charged Tyrone Lamont Hicks, 35, of Fuquay, for possession of cocaine and discharging a firearm within the city limits.

Anthony CUrtis Prince, 18, of Holly Springs, was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana and possessing and concealing weapons on August 15. Police confiscated firearms, ammunition, cash and 18.5 grams of marijuana.

Liliana Alvarez, 18, of Angier, was charged with driving while license were revoked on August 15.

Sherrisse Michele Holden, 24, of Fuquay, was cited with a failure to appear violation on August 16.

Richard Ellis Johnson, 22, of Cary, was cited with a failure to appear violation on August 16.

Thefts

Police were dispatched to Hudson Belk on August 11 in reference to a suspect attempting to leave the business with item that were not paid for.

A robbery at Discount Mattress on North Main Street was reported on August 13. The suspect allegedly showed a gun to an employee while demanding money. The case is under further investigation.

Police are continuing to investigate the larceny of a wallet from a bench on North Main Street on August 13.

A thief or thieves entered a residence on West Academy Street through a window and removed a Phillips TV, valued at $1,000, and a fire safe, with a value of $100. The case is under further investigation.

THe breaking and entering of a vehicle parked on QUail Hill Street was reported on August 17. The suspects removed approximately $275 in merchandise from the unsecured car.

Other crimes

A resident of East Azalea Court reported the tires on their vehicle had been cut with a type of cutting tool on August 11.

Police were dispatched to Johnson Pond Road on August 14 in reference to a case of underage consumption of alcohol. The suspects were allegedly sitting on the roadway after consuming the alcohol.

Police investigated an affray that occurred on New Charleston Drive on AUgust 14. A female victim was shoved causing her to lose balance and fall to the ground.

Vandalsim to a light fixture was reported at Roses Department Store on August 16. A suspect hit the fixture with a rock causing $50 in damages. The case is under further investigation.
