Amanda G. Ennis of Four Oaks recently attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in Washington, D.C. To attend this forum a student must be nominated by their teachers and advisors and nomination is based on exemplary leadership and outstanding academic performance.

While attending the Forum she was able to visit several prominent medical facilities such as George Washington University School of Medicine, view actual surgical procedures and learn many things involving the medical career path she has chosen.

Amanda is a senior at West Johnston High School and plans to pursue a career in the medical field as a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist). She currently volunteers as a Cadet with 50/210 EMS and plans to be a Basic EMT by the end of December. Amanda is a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, HOSA and has also played soccer and tennis at WJHS. She is currently a member of the varsity tennis team. She is an active member of Broken Wing Fellowship Church in Garner and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Amanda is the daughter of Mrs. Ginger R. Ennis of the McGee’s community and the granddaughter of Ralph and Edna Blevins of the Cleveland community.

Congratulations and good luck Amanda!
