Dixon Road Elementary School learned about fire safety during the month of October. The 50-210 Fire department visited on Friday (10-9) to review what to do in the event of a fire. Firefighter Joe put on his firefighter suit. This demonstration allowed the students to hear his muffled voice and hopefully remind them to call out for help if they are trapped during a real fire. Students also learned the “get low and go” technique to help them get out safely. Everyone enjoyed learning about the tools on the fire truck. Remember to stop, drop, and roll.
