Carfix held the first annual local art contest for students from West View, Dixon Road and Polenta Elementary schools. Carfix received 104 entries from grades K-5. The contest theme was “Cars of the Future,” and the Carfix staff acted as judges. An award presentation for the winning entries was held at Carfix on Nov. 18. All winning artwork will be framed and displayed in the Carfix reception area for one full year. Winning students not only received a crisp $100 bill but will take home their framed

artwork after it has been displayed. Consolation prizes of Free Cones from Dairy Queen will be given to all entries.
