Jalen Chadwick, age 7, of Garner, has been named to the first-of-its-kind Offense-Defense Youth All-American Bowl. Jalen a running back Cleveland Wildcats , will join dozens of peers in his age group nationwide in an East meets West clash taking place at Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach, SC on Jan. 2. Jalen was selected from a group of young athletes numbering in the thousands across the country to participate in this prestigious All-Star game. Jalen is a second grader at West View Elementary School. Jalen and his team were also featured on NBC 17’s Pint-Sized Sports on Sept. 9 this year. The show also did a show featuring the top five plays of the year, and Jalen’s football play was number one!

The Offense-Defense Youth All-American Bowl is part of a week long series of events leading up to the nationally-televised, fourth-annual Offense-Defense All-American Bowl, an All-Star football game of similar format showcasing 80 of the top high school seniors in the country taking place later in the day on the 2nd.
