The Johnston Community College Board of Trustees recognized former trustee Joan Jones for her service and dedication to the College at its November meeting.

Jones recently retired as a trustee after three years of service. She currently serves on the Arboretum’s Advisory Board at the College and is a local historian. Jones, a resident of McGee’s Crossroads, is a 1972 graduate and former employee of JCC.

Trustee chair Lyn Austin thanked Jones for her support and leadership on behalf of the board members and presented her with a resolution in appreciation for her service.

John Hatch of Four Oaks was appointed as her replacement by the Johnston County Board of Commissioners.
