Derrick Thompson from the Clayton Rotary Club announced winners for the annual “Rotarians Against Drugs” competition at Clayton High School on February 16, 2010. Shaza Gaballah took first place, Jenna Silver was awarded second place, and Paola Rodriguez was the third place winner.

Shaza will present her speech on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at the 2010 Rotarians Against Drugs Speech Competition featuring Johnston County high school students who will speak on the subject, “What Must Be Done to Prevent Drug and Alcohol Abuse in the United States?” The Rotary Club of Central Johnston County, the Clayton Rotary Club, the Cleveland Rotary Club, and the Smithfield Rotary Club are hosting this event to recognize and support Johnston County youth who recognize alcohol and substance abuse as a significant challenge within our community. The event will begin at 7:00 pm and is located at the Johnston Medical Mall Auditorium.
