The Johnston County Schools Spelling Bee competition was held on February 9, 2010, at Selma Elementary Auditorium. Student representatives gathered to compete for top place in the school system. For the second year in a row, Shayne Jacobs, an eighth grader from Clayton Middle School, walked away with first place. He will now advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. Good luck, Shayne!
