Smithfield, N.C. — Dennis Mack, a senior member with the Johnston County Civil Air Patrol (CAP) squadron, was promoted to the grade of First Lieutenant. Lt. Mack has been a member of CAP since November of 2006 and currently serves as the squadron’s Operations Officer.
Lt. Mack received a professional appointment to his current rank. He is an airframe and power plan technician. In addition, he is an FAA licensed pilot and flight engineer.
Lt. Mack currently resides in Clayton and is employed as the Supervisor of Emergency Communications for Wake Med Hospital. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Johnston County Airport.
The Johnston County Civil Air Patrol squadron meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Johnston County Airport.
