Assistance for veterans So many veterans feel confused about benefits and services they’ve earned. There’s so much to know...and so many changes from one year to the next. That’s why the nonprofit D-A-V and the Harley-Davidson Foundation have teamed up to offer help. The DAV Mobile Service Office will be at the Rocky Mount Harley-Davidson, 928 North Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, North Carolina from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, to personally provide the best counseling and claim filing assistance available. This event is part of the nationwide Harley’s Heroes tour and is free to all veterans and members of their families. For further information, please contact NSO Ronald F. Hope at (336) 631-5481.
Tim Greene at Piney Grove Chapel Anointed evangelist, songwriter and Southern Gospel Music male vocalist, Tim Greene will be featured in a special worship service on Sunday, May 23 at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church. This exciting event will begin at 6 p.m. For more than two decades, Tim traveled with his popular musical family, The Greenes. Throughout those years the group achieved national and international notoriety, earning a Dove Award from the Gospel Music Association, as well as a Grammy Award. During that time, the talented songwriter penned more than 500 songs and ministered in churches, auditoriums and arenas nationwide. In 2000, Tim became paralyzed after being exposed to toxic black mold. This severe condition forced him to retire from the road and spend the next seven years in treatment for extended periods of time in various hospitals. Finally, in May of 2009, Tim experienced a miraculous healing, and over the past year has traveled nationwide sharing his story of that miraculous healing. Make plans now to be a part of this special evening, as Tim will share his story of God’s goodness and mercy through music and testimony. All those in attendance at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church on Sunday, May 23 will truly be blessed and encouraged by this inspiring story. No admission will be charged; however, a love offering will be received. The church is located just off Hwy 210, approximately five miles East of Angier on Piney Grove Church Road. For additional information or directions to the church, call (919) 639-2481 or visit pineygrovechapel.org.
