An up and coming country singer formerly of the Willow Spring area returned to her “roots” July 9 with a visit to a local hair salon. Ciera Bridgewater, 17, was featured last year in a Cleveland Post article detailing her move to Nashville and pursuit of a singing career. The teen’s hard work is paying off. Bridgewater was in town to do a photo shoot for the cover of her self-titled debut album, which will be released next month through Planet Nashville Records. She made a stop at The Sharpest Edge Hair Salon in Holly Springs, where her former neighbor works as a stylist, to have her hair styled for the shoot.

“I can’t believe it’s all happening,” said Ciera. “It’s just so exciting.”
