Introduction to Green Building

This class is designed for those interested in understanding green building principles and materials. The class will meet on Monday and Tuesday July 19 and 20 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Workforce Development Center in Clayton. Registration fee is $65.

Pre-Licensing Training for N.C. Home Inspectors

This class is designed to assist applicants for a N.C. Home Inspectors license to prepare for the written exam. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays Sept. 16 - Nov. 4 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Workforce Development Center in Clayton. Registration fee is $120.

Pre-licensing for NC Residential/General Contractors

This class prepares students to sit for the residential and/or general contractor's licensing exam. The class will meet on Friday, Sept. 10 from 6 – 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 12 from 1 – 5 p.m. at the Workforce Development Center in Clayton. Introduction to Residential Construction Seminar

This seminar is designed to help those who are considering a new career in residential construction or those who are interested in building their own home. This is not a pre-licensing class. Instead, the intention is to provide the student with a better understanding of the work scope for building a new home. The seminar will be held Friday, Nov. 12 from 6 – 10 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 13 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Workforce Development Center in Clayton. Registration fee is $65.

Real Estate Pre-Licensing

This 80-hour course provides the required training for becoming a salesperson/broker in North Carolina and is approved by the N.C. Real Estate Commission for licensure. The class will meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays Aug. 24 - Oct. 6 from 6 – 10 p.m. at the Workforce Development Center in Clayton. There is a pre-requisite for this class. Registration fee is $175. The textbook is $40 and is available at the JCC Bookstore.
